Why Choose Engineering & Technology?
Engineering and Technology are among the fastest-growing and highest-paying career fields in Kenya. With the government's digital transformation agenda and massive infrastructure projects (SGR, affordable housing, dams), engineers and tech professionals are in constant demand.
To pursue engineering, you must choose the STEM pathway in Grade 10. There are two tracks:
Mandatory subjects for ALL engineering fields: Mathematics and Physics. Without these, you cannot study engineering at university.
What They Do
Software developers build websites, mobile apps, desktop software, and backend systems. They write code, test programs, fix bugs, and work with teams to create digital products. In Kenya, software developers work in tech companies, banks, startups, or as freelancers.

What They Do
Civil engineers design, build, and maintain infrastructure — roads, bridges, dams, buildings, water systems, and airports. In Kenya, civil engineers work for construction companies, government (KeNHA, KURA), real estate developers, or consulting firms.

What They Do
Mechanical engineers design, build, and maintain machines, engines, vehicles, and manufacturing equipment. In Kenya, they work in factories, power plants, automotive industry, aviation, and manufacturing companies.

Engineers must register with EBK to practice legally in Kenya. Registration happens after completing your degree and internship.
